Balochistan Food Authority Cracks Down on Substandard Food; Malak Shop Sealed in Zhob, 33 Units Fined Across Four Districts

**Quetta (Qudrat Daily):** The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) continues its operations against adulterated, substandard, and harmful food products across the province. During recent inspections, a Malak Shop in Zhob was sealed, and 33 food units and production centers in Quetta, Usta Muhammad, Sibi, and Turbat were fined for violating food safety regulations.
The sealed shop in Zhob faced strict action, while the fined units included general stores, bakeries and baking units, fast-food corners, hotels, wholesale distributors, and other Malak Shops.
BFA inspection teams conducted a special raid on wholesale beverage traders in A-One City, Brewery Road, Quetta, based on a tip-off. Expired cold drinks were confiscated from two traders, and both units were heavily fined.
A BFA spokesperson emphasized that actions against adulterated milk and yogurt, substandard bakery products, and low-quality food items will continue, prioritizing the provision of safe, healthy, and quality food for the public. They warned that any violation or negligence will not be tolerated, and strict measures will be taken in accordance with the law.
