Food-Laden Mazda Truck Hijacked on RCD Highway Near Dalbandin, Goods Worth Millions Missing

DALBANDIN: A Mazda truck carrying food items from Quetta to Dalbandin was allegedly hijacked by unidentified armed men on the RCD Highway, with goods worth millions of rupees reported missing.

According to police sources, the incident occurred when armed assailants intercepted the vehicle at gunpoint and took control of both the truck and its cargo before fleeing the scene. The vehicle was transporting a large consignment of food and grocery items destined for Dalbandin.

Authorities said the exact inventory of the stolen goods has yet to be fully verified, and efforts are underway to determine the total value and nature of the missing items.

Police and local administration have registered a case and launched an investigation from multiple angles to trace the perpetrators and recover the hijacked vehicle and its cargo.

Law enforcement agencies are collecting evidence and pursuing leads related to the incident. No arrests have been reported so far.

The hijacking has raised concerns over the security of commercial transportation on the RCD Highway, a major trade route connecting various parts of Balochistan.
