Ex-Servicemen Society Expresses Full Confidence in Pakistan Army, Calls for Ban on PTI

Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — The Ex-Servicemen Society has expressed full confidence in the leadership of the Pakistan Army and strongly endorsed the appointment of Field Marshal Asim Munir as Chief of Defence Forces.
Speaking at a press conference held at the Rawalpindi Press Club, Chief Coordinator Aziz Awan said that both he and the organization have complete trust in the military leadership, adding that his remarks reflect the collective stance of the society.
Aziz Awan stated that the society is deeply concerned over the attitude of a particular political party towards state institutions and recommended strict measures, including a **ban on the party**.
The Ex-Servicemen Society also demanded speedy verdicts in the May 9 cases and called for action against PTI founder Imran Khan. It further stressed the need to counter propaganda campaigns being run from abroad.
Society President General (R) Abdul Qayyum emphasized that **national unity is essential** for the country’s stability. He said the strength of the Pakistan Army lies in its people and highlighted the military’s historic role in defending the nation since 1947.
He also referred to India’s alleged hybrid warfare against Pakistan, regional tensions, and the use of Afghan territory for hostile activities. General (R) Qayyum added that certain media platforms in India and Israel are spreading anti-Pakistan narratives.
Praising General Asim Munir’s professionalism and hard work, he said the Army Chief rose to the top purely on merit. He condemned incidents involving the desecration of martyrs’ memorials, calling them extremely regrettable.
General (R) Qayyum also underscored the need to revisit the NFC Award and noted that Pakistan’s armed forces rank 12th globally, whereas India’s defence budget is many times larger.
At the end of the press conference, the speakers reiterated that **national security, unity, and stability are non-negotiable**, and the nation must stand firmly with state institutions in the ongoing fight against terrorism.
