Talks Fail to Yield Agreement as Goods Transporters Vow to Continue Strike

ISLAMABAD: Goods transporters have announced that their strike will continue until the government accepts their demands after negotiations between the two sides ended without reaching a final agreement.

Talks between the government and the All Pakistan Goods Transport Owners Association concluded without a definitive outcome. According to a statement issued by the association, the transporters will continue their strike until their demands are formally approved and implemented.

During the negotiations, the transporters’ demands and concerns were discussed in detail. Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan assured the representatives that the government would work to resolve their issues.

However, the talks failed to produce a final agreement or approval of the transporters’ demands.

Association leader Owais Chaudhry said the transporters would not withdraw from their legitimate and lawful demands under any circumstances. He added that the association was willing to continue negotiations with the government to resolve the matter.

The All Pakistan Goods Transport Owners Association said the wheel-jam strike would remain in effect until the government practically accepts and implements their demands.
