Mahmood Khan Achakzai Condemns “Two-Number Government,” Vows to Stand Against Tyranny

Quetta: Mahmood Khan Achakzai, chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PkMAP) and head of the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain (Movement for the Protection of the Constitution), criticized the current government for undermining the Constitution and pledged to continue resisting injustice. Speaking at a grand public gathering in Quetta’s Ayub Stadium on the 52nd death anniversary of Khan Shaheed Abdul Samad Khan Achakzai, he called the ruling administration a “two-number government” formed through the theft of PTI’s mandate.

Achakzai said the movement was not formed to hurl abuses but to protect the Constitution, which he described as a social contract that cannot be altered even by a party holding a majority in the assembly. He stated that the government imposed through fraudulent means threatens the very foundations of the Constitution.

Criticizing the judiciary, Achakzai said judges are resigning, courts have become political, and the judicial system often serves the interests of oppressive forces rather than supporting democratic and progressive voices. He accused the current parliament of undermining Pakistan’s democratic framework by securing a two-thirds majority through “two-number” tactics.

Quoting a Hadith, Achakzai emphasized that standing up to a tyrant is the highest form of jihad, declaring that every worker of PkMAP and the Tehreek-e-Tahaffuz-e-Aain will continue to oppose injustice. The rally concluded with participants chanting slogans such as **“Down with the Thief Government”** and **“Unjust Government Unacceptable.”**
