Teenage Son of Senior Islamabad Judicial Figure Kills Two Women in High-Speed Crash

Islamabad: In a tragic incident in the federal capital, the underage son of a senior Islamabad High Court official fatally struck two young women riding an electric scooter.

The accident occurred late last night within the jurisdiction of *Thana Secretariat*. According to police and eyewitness accounts, a high-speed V8 vehicle rammed into the scooter, killing both women — aged 25 and 27 — on the spot. One of the victims was reportedly an interior designer associated with the National College of Arts (NCA).

Police arrested the teenage driver and impounded the vehicle. Sources identified the suspect as **Abu Zar**, the son of a prominent figure from the Islamabad High Court.

According to investigative sources, the suspect was born in **July 2009**, making him legally underage to drive. He did not possess a driving licence, and at the time of the crash, he was allegedly recording a video for a social media application.

Eyewitnesses said the vehicle was moving at an extremely high speed, and the impact was so forceful that the electric scooter was thrown several feet away.

The accused was produced before a local court today. Police requested a **seven-day physical remand**, but the court granted **four days**. The remand application stated that the accused had no CNIC or driving licence; however, he claimed his identity card had been issued.

Police said the suspect admitted to driving recklessly and carelessly when he struck the two employees of the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), causing fatal injuries. He also confessed to discarding his mobile phone immediately after the crash.

Investigators told the court that the mobile phone must be recovered to verify whether he was filming at the time. They also need CCTV footage of the accident site, verification of whether he was alone in the vehicle, and medical tests to confirm his exact age.
