MPA Saqib Chadhar and Wife Appear Before NCCIA in Inquiry Against Actress Momina Iqbal

Lahore (KNN) — Punjab Assembly member Saqib Chadhar and his wife appeared before the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) along with their lawyer in connection with an inquiry involving actress Momina Iqbal.

Speaking to the media after the hearing, lawyer Muhammad Saqib Chadhar said they respect women but would prove the truth with evidence. He stated that both Saqib Chadhar and his wife recorded their statements before NCCIA officials, who conducted a detailed inquiry lasting nearly four hours.

The lawyer claimed that dozens of pieces of evidence related to the case had been submitted, adding that forensic examination could also be carried out. He maintained that his clients were the “real victims” in the matter and alleged that they were being harassed through a fabricated complaint.

He further said that while they did not wish to bring forward anything damaging against any woman, they would continue to present facts and evidence before investigators.

Meanwhile, after statements from actress Momina Iqbal and her fiancé Hamza Habib, another major development emerged in the high-profile case. Momina Iqbal’s lawyer accused Saqib Chadhar of alleged blackmail and retaliatory actions linked to her past and present marriage proposals.

Addressing the media, the actress’s lawyer alleged that Momina Iqbal had been targeted for several years due to personal grudges and “male ego.” He claimed that a previous marriage proposal of the actress was also broken because of alleged false accusations spread by Saqib Chadhar among relatives and acquaintances.

According to the lawyer, Momina Iqbal initially avoided filing complaints with law enforcement agencies due to concerns about her reputation as a public figure and the social impact on her family.

The lawyer further alleged that when a new marriage proposal for the actress was nearing finalization, Saqib Chadhar and his wife contacted the prospective family and made damaging allegations, resulting in the relationship ending.

He stated that the identity of the individual involved in the earlier proposal was currently being kept confidential, but all evidence would be presented as the NCCIA investigation progresses further.
