Pakistan’s Textile Exports Hit Historic High in First Four Months of FY 2025–26

Islamabad: Pakistan’s textile exports have reached the highest level in the country’s history during the first four months of the current fiscal year 2025–26.
According to a report by Arif Habib Limited, textile exports were recorded at **$6.4 billion** during this period, marking the largest trade volume for these months on record. The report states that value-added sectors played a significant role in driving this performance.
Exports of **knitwear reached $1.9 billion**, while **ready-made garments rose to $1.4 billion**, both marking the highest levels ever recorded for the first four months of any fiscal year.
The surge in textile exports is attributed to improved global demand, strong performance of value-added products, and stability in the Pakistani rupee.
This progress reflects the impact of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s business-friendly policies, the government’s export-oriented priorities, and its disciplined economic vision. Policy continuity, industrial facilitation, and the creation of a supportive environment for export sectors have enhanced the competitiveness of the textile industry.
Improved business confidence, gradually stabilizing energy costs, and facilitative measures for the export sector have further strengthened the overall trade environment.
