Police Launch Investigation After Girl Allegedly Harassed at Gunpoint in Okara

OKARA: Police have initiated action after a complaint was filed alleging that three motorcycle-riding men harassed a young woman at gunpoint in the Seth Colony area of Okara.
According to an application submitted by the victim’s father, one of the suspects, accompanied by two associates, allegedly subjected his daughter to inappropriate conduct at gunpoint on March 25, 2026.
The complainant stated that CCTV footage of the incident is available and has been provided as evidence to support the allegations.
The family said they initially refrained from taking legal action due to fear and intimidation. However, they claimed that the suspects continued to harass them despite repeated warnings to stop.
According to the complaint, bystanders intervened during the incident and helped rescue the family from the alleged suspects.
Meanwhile, District Police Officer Dr. Asad Ejaz Malhi has taken notice of the case and directed relevant officials to ensure the early arrest of the accused and proceed with legal action.
Police said the investigation is underway and further developments will emerge as the inquiry progresses.
