CM Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi Says Meeting with Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Could Not Take Place

ISLAMABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, along with Alima Khan and several lawyers, was unable to meet the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, according to reports by private TV channel Dunya News.
Sohail Afridi stated that their hearing did not take place, and they received a message from the Chief Justice saying he could not meet them. In response, Afridi announced that neither the National Assembly nor the Senate session would proceed today. He further said that next Tuesday, gatherings would take place both outside the High Court and at Adiala Jail.
Earlier in Rawalpindi, Afridi had announced the end of his sit-in, stating that he had exhausted all constitutional and legal avenues. He expressed frustration that despite court orders, he and other leaders were not allowed to meet the PTI founder, Imran Khan.
Afridi claimed that previously even the founder’s sisters were prevented from meeting him and were allegedly mistreated on Adiala Road. He said these actions were aimed at breaking the morale of the PTI founder and targeting Bushra Bibi.
The Chief Minister emphasized that the entire day and night had passed without permission to meet the PTI leader, prompting his protest sit-in the previous night.
