The announcement came after a meeting chaired by PTI KP President Junaid Akbar, attended by party office bearers and provincial leaders.

The party passed multiple resolutions, stating that the Kalabagh Dam would submerge fertile lands, displace thousands of people, and fuel inter-provincial disputes. PTI demanded that all agreements on natural resources be made with the approval of the KP Assembly, while deals with companies and projects in the merged tribal districts must also be subject to legislative oversight.

The meeting also outlined a four-point agenda for the provincial government:

1. End military operations and drone strikes in merged districts.
2. Withdraw the appeal in the Supreme Court regarding Article 245.
3. Fully restore civil authority in KP and merged districts.
4. Quash all cases linked to May 9 and hold officials accountable for unlawful actions on February 8.

The party reiterated its commitment to the founding chairman’s vision on environmental sustainability through initiatives like the Billion Tree Tsunami. It further resolved that if the federal government pursues unilateral agreements or operations, Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur will stand firmly with the people of KP.
