Deported Pakistani Citizen Missing After Arriving at Karachi Airport: Jibran Nasir

Karachi: Renowned lawyer and human rights activist Jibran Nasir has revealed that a Pakistani citizen deported from the United Arab Emirates went missing after landing at Karachi Airport.
In a video statement, Jibran Nasir said that the individual, identified as Naveed Anwar, had posted something on social media, which he may not have realized could have consequences. Following the incident, UAE authorities detained him for a year and later deported him on August 5 last year via an Airblue flight to Karachi.
He added that according to airline and airport records, Naveed Anwar did arrive in Karachi; however, he never exited the airport premises.
Jibran Nasir further stated that, as per FIA standing procedures, all deportees are supposed to be handed over to authorities upon arrival for proper processing. However, in this case, three months have passed and officials have yet to provide clear answers.
He also mentioned that during court proceedings, a federal law officer stated that the individual was present, but sought additional time to respond. It was further revealed that CCTV footage at the airport is only available for 25 days.
However, he noted that immigration records have been submitted to the court and confirmed that the individual did land in Karachi.
