Flash Flood Risk in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Heavy Rain Expected

Authorities have warned of a potential **flash flood** in the upper regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to heavy rainfall starting today.
According to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), rain is expected from today through Thursday, increasing the risk of glacial lake bursts and subsequent flash floods.
The PDMA noted that unusually high temperatures have raised the likelihood of glacial lakes overflowing.
Relevant districts have been instructed to take **preemptive measures** to minimize damage and ensure public safety.
