Over 3,400 E-Challans Issued in Karachi for Traffic Violations in a Single Day

Karachi: The **electronic challan drive** against traffic rule violations continues across the city, with **3,485 e-challans** issued on Monday, according to details shared by the **Karachi Traffic Police**.
The data revealed that the **majority of violations — 2,433 challans — were issued for not wearing seat belts**, followed by **511 challans** for riding without a helmet.
Additionally, **78 e-challans** were issued for **using mobile phones while driving**, **27** for **wrong-way driving**, and **51** for **over-speeding**.
Traffic police also fined **45 bus drivers** for carrying passengers on the **roof of buses**, while **5 drivers** were penalized for **violating zebra crossing rules**.
Officials reiterated that the campaign aims to **ensure road safety** and **promote compliance with traffic laws** throughout Karachi.
