ANP Leader Asghar Khan Achakzai Warns of Blocking Islamabad Route Over Border Restrictions and Alleged State Oppression

**Quetta** – President of the Awami National Party (ANP) Balochistan, **Asghar Khan Achakzai**, delivered a highly charged and confrontational speech during a public gathering in Quetta, sharply criticizing state institutions and warning of strong retaliatory actions if border restrictions and alleged injustices continue.
Achakzai condemned the imposition of passport requirements at **Chaman and Torkham borders**, calling it an economic assault on Pashtun communities. He warned that if what he termed “state oppression” and the mistreatment of Afghan refugees did not end, ANP Balochistan would **halt the supply of gas, electricity, and minerals from the province to Punjab**.
He lashed out at past military rulers, stating that the “so‑called jihad” and strategic depth policies of **General Zia, General Jilani, and General Musharraf** had destroyed generations. Achakzai further accused **General Bajwa and Lt Gen Faiz Hameed** of attempting to divide Pashtuns by creating political factions, which, he said, ultimately failed.
Calling the current government a product of “**Form‑47**,” he alleged that the state benefits from Balochistan’s resources while denying rights to its people.
Achakzai warned that if coercive measures continued, ANP would **block all routes leading to Islamabad** and “take back their rights by force,” declaring that the party would not allow further exploitation of its people or disrespect for its martyrs.
