PTI Announces “Black Day” on November 26 Instead of Large Protest

Peshawar — The **Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)** has announced that it will observe **November 26 as a “Black Day”** to mark one year since the violent protests in Islamabad demanding the release of party founder Imran Khan, instructing its members to hold **district-level protests** instead of a large central demonstration.
PTI Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President **Junaid Akbar** stated on social media that the party’s regional units should organize protests at the district level. He urged members of the National and Provincial Assemblies to visit the homes of party workers who lost their lives during the previous protests and express solidarity with their families.
According to Junaid Akbar, a **Quran recitation** will also be held in **Hayatabad, Peshawar**, alongside smaller-scale protests. PTI leadership has emphasized that no major centralized protest will take place, focusing instead on local-level demonstrations to honor the memory of deceased workers.
