Black Day” Observed Across Balochistan: Peaceful Protests Outside Mosques Demand Democracy and Release of Political Prisoners

**Quetta:** The Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Aain Pakistan, led by **Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party Chairman Mahmood Khan Achakzai**, observed **21 November** as a “Black Day” across Balochistan, organizing peaceful protests outside mosques to denounce what they called anti-democratic measures.
Participants raised black flags, tied bands on their arms, and chanted slogans such as, *“We do not accept a constitution that blinds the morning; Long live democracy, death to dictatorship; Release Imran Khan and all political prisoners.”*
Protests were held in Quetta, Pishin, Qila Abdullah (Golestan Anayatullah Karez), Loralai, Harnai, Ziarat (Sanjawi), Sherani, Zhob, Sibi, and Qila Saifullah, with significant participation in front of major mosques. The central secretariat of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party in Quetta was reportedly surrounded by police during the demonstrations.
Additionally, the **Pashtunkhwa Lawyers Forum** marked the Black Day with a protest at the High Court. In all districts, participants emphasized peaceful protest while vocally demanding the restoration of democracy and the release of political prisoners.
The events highlighted widespread public dissent against perceived authoritarianism and mobilized citizens in a coordinated show of unity across the province.
