PTI Parliamentary Party Condemns Adiala Jail Incident, Announces Protest Over 27th Amendment and Government Actions

Islamabad: The PTI parliamentary party strongly condemned the incident outside Adiala Jail, calling it shameful, unacceptable, and a blatant example of misuse of state power. The party said that the sisters of the founding chairman are non-political, and the inhumane and deplorable treatment meted out to them is unforgivable.
An emergency extraordinary meeting of the PTI parliamentary party, chaired by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi, was held at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad. The meeting was attended by Speaker Babar Saleem Swati, Provincial President Junaid Akbar Khan, Provincial General Secretary Ali Asghar Khan, ministers, advisers, special assistants, and members of the provincial assembly.
The meeting discussed the current political situation, the 27th Constitutional Amendment, and the actions of the federal and Punjab governments. The party strongly condemned the alleged mistreatment of the founding chairman’s three sisters, Provincial Minister Mina Khan, National Assembly member Shahid Khattak, and Provincial Assembly member Abdul Salam.
The statement warned that any humiliation of provincial government officials, ministers, or assembly members will not be tolerated. It added that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa reserves the full right to take appropriate constitutional and political measures if such actions continue.
PTI announced **provincial-wide protests on Friday in every constituency of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa** against the 27th Constitutional Amendment and the federal and Punjab governments’ alleged unconstitutional, vindictive, and authoritarian behavior.
The statement emphasized that PTI’s provincial government, ministers, parliamentarians, and the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stand firmly with their leader, his sisters, and all elected representatives.
