Islamabad (Qudrat Daily) — Daniel Anthony McGrath, widely known for his work on the globally famous animated series *The Simpsons*, has passed away. According to reports, the renowned writer and stage director — known affectionately as Dan McGrath — died after suffering a stroke.

McGrath enjoyed a distinguished career in American entertainment and comedy writing. Despite studying Japanese and Chinese history and politics — and failing all his Japanese language courses — he continued to thrive creatively, working as a writer, editor, and cartoonist for the Harvard Lampoon. He was a brilliant Harvard student and even designed computer games at MIT during his academic years.

McGrath began his television career with *Saturday Night Live* and went on to contribute to several major productions. His work on *The Simpsons* earned him significant recognition, where he served in various co-writing roles for the animated sitcom. His contribution to the beloved series also won him an Emmy Award.

News of his sudden passing has prompted an outpouring of grief from colleagues, fans, and entertainment personalities, all of whom have expressed deep sorrow at the loss of a gifted storyteller and creative mind.
