WhatsApp Crosses 3 Billion Monthly Users, Becomes Core Business for Meta

Menlo Park:Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has announced that WhatsApp now boasts over **3 billion monthly active users**, making it one of the most widely used apps in the world and a core component of Meta’s business model.

The messaging giant, which Zuckerberg acquired in 2014 for \$19 billion, reached 2 billion monthly users by 2020. With this latest milestone, WhatsApp joins the elite club of apps with over 3 billion users, reflecting its continued global dominance.
