Justice Mansoor Ali Shah Ends Resignation Letter with Ahmed Faraz’s Poem

**ISLAMABAD (Qudrat Daily)** — Following the **27th Constitutional Amendment**, **Senior Supreme Court Judges Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Athar Minallah** have resigned from their positions.

In his resignation, **Justice Mansoor Ali Shah** concluded with verses from Ahmed Faraz’s poem **“Muhasira” (Siege)**, reflecting the depth of his conviction and the moral struggle behind his decision.

The verses read:

*”My pen is a trust for my people
My pen is the court of my conscience
That is why I write with all my heart
Thus, the bow of the oppressor bends to the arrow of my words
I am certain that if I remain steadfast, this siege of tyranny will be broken
By the oath of all the hardships endured in life
The journey of my pen will not go in vain”*

Justice Mansoor Ali Shah’s use of poetry highlights the **symbolic and moral weight** of his resignation, underlining his protest against what he perceives as a **threat to judicial independence** and the constitution.
