Mr. Andrabi said that Pakistan extended **offers of trade and humanitarian cooperation**, but received **no practical response** from Kabul. Instead, the Taliban government **sheltered terrorist groups**, enabling them to expand their activities. He emphasized that this issue **is not a matter of humanitarian concern but of harboring terrorism**.
The statement further noted that Pakistan **repeatedly demanded the handover of wanted terrorists**, but the Taliban authorities often responded with **false claims or denials**. During the negotiations, the Afghan delegation **diverted the discussion to irrelevant topics**, obscuring the real issue.
Reiterating Pakistan’s commitment to **respectful and constructive dialogue**, the spokesperson stressed that **verifiable and actionable steps against terrorism** are essential for genuine progress.
The Foreign Office concluded that Pakistan will take **all possible measures to safeguard its borders and citizens**, affirming that **those who support or shelter terrorist groups cannot be considered friends of Pakistan**.
