Neutral Countries Endorse Pakistan’s Stance on Istanbul Talks: Diplomatic Sources

**Islamabad (Qudrat Daily)** – Neutral countries have expressed support for Pakistan’s stance on the recent Istanbul talks between Pakistan and the Afghan Taliban, diplomatic sources revealed.
According to the sources, Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs presented a comprehensive, evidence-based position on Afghanistan, rooted in facts and merit rather than bias. They added that neutral nations appreciated Pakistan’s responsible approach and commitment to regional peace and stability.
Diplomatic officials stated that Pakistan is handling the Afghan situation with diplomatic skill and moral integrity, earning growing international recognition for its principled position. The ministry has also clarified the causes of the recent stalemate with logic and evidence, dispelling misconceptions and setting the record straight.
### **Foreign Office Statement on Third Round of Pakistan-Afghanistan Talks**
Earlier, the Foreign Office issued a detailed statement regarding the third round of Pakistan-Afghanistan negotiations held in Istanbul on November 7, hosted by Turkey and Qatar. Pakistan commended both countries for their sincere and constructive efforts to help bridge differences on the core issue of terrorism.
The statement noted that since the Taliban’s rise to power in Afghanistan, terrorist attacks on Pakistan from Afghan soil have significantly increased. Despite suffering heavy losses, Pakistan exercised utmost restraint and avoided retaliatory actions, expecting the Taliban government to curb such attacks and act against groups like the TTP (Fitna al-Hind) and BLA (Fitna al-Ahrar).
Pakistan, the statement said, has continuously sought cooperation with Afghanistan in trade, humanitarian aid, education, and healthcare — but in return, received only promises and non-serious responses. The Foreign Office emphasized that preventing Afghan territory from being used against Pakistan is the Taliban government’s fundamental responsibility, yet it has avoided verifiable actions and attempted to divert attention from the core issue.

### **Pakistan’s Firm Position on Terrorism**
The statement reiterated that Pakistan will not negotiate with any terrorist organization, including the TTP or BLA. It also alleged that some elements within the Taliban administration, backed by external funding, are deliberately trying to strain relations between the two neighbors.
Pakistan clarified that it is willing to accept back any of its nationals deported through official border crossings at Torkham or Chaman — but not those crossing illegally with arms and equipment under the guise of refugees.
The Foreign Office further stressed that Pakistan’s people and armed forces remain united in the fight against terrorism. The nation is fully aware of the sacrifices it has made and possesses the capacity to overcome its internal challenges.
Rejecting attempts to stoke ethnic divisions, the statement highlighted that Pakistan’s Pashtun citizens are an integral and dynamic part of the state, contributing significantly in politics, bureaucracy, and national institutions.
Pakistan reaffirmed that while it supports dialogue to resolve bilateral issues, the eradication of terrorism remains its top priority — and the government and military are determined to eliminate this menace completely.
