Finance Minister Says Pakistan’s Economy on the Right Track, Blue Economy to Be a Game Changer

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance **Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb** has said that **Pakistan’s economy is moving in the right direction**, adding that the **blue economy will prove to be a game changer** for the country’s financial future.
Addressing the **Pakistan International Maritime Expo 2025** virtually, the finance minister stated that **solid economic reforms** had been implemented over the past two and a half years to ensure **macroeconomic stability**.
He noted that **three global credit rating agencies** had acknowledged Pakistan’s **positive economic performance**.
Aurangzeb emphasized that Pakistan was enjoying **strong trade and economic cooperation with friendly nations**, which was contributing to the country’s recovery.
Highlighting future goals, he said that **modernization of Karachi, Gwadar, and Port Qasim** was underway, adding that the **blue economy would serve as a key driver for sustainable growth** and economic diversification.
