Islamabad Police Officers Exposed in Kidnapping for Ransom Gang

Islamabad: A shocking case has surfaced involving two Islamabad Police officers who allegedly formed a gang and carried out a kidnapping for ransom, subjecting a gold trader to severe torture and extortion.
According to sources, the police officials abducted the trader, held him in a private torture cell, brutally assaulted him, and extorted Rs 20 million. The victim was reportedly forced to hand over money, put thumb impressions on blank papers, and swear an oath of silence before being released.
An inquiry conducted by SP Saddar Ali Kazim found the two Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASIs) guilty. Following the findings, a case has been registered against both ASIs along with their accomplices.
The affected trader, who belongs to Swat, stated that he was returning after selling gold in Rawalpindi when he was stopped by the two ASIs and their associates. He alleged that the officials forcibly took him to a private torture cell and, under the pretext of a search, seized Rs 40 million kept in his vehicle. One of the accomplices reportedly introduced himself as an officer of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).
The trader further said that after repeated pleas, the accused kept Rs 20 million and returned the remaining amount before releasing him.
On the complaint of the affected traders, Islamabad Inspector General of Police Ali Nasir Rizvi ordered an inquiry. SP Saddar Ali Kazim completed the investigation, declared the accused guilty, and ordered the registration of a criminal case against them.
