India Failed to Shoot Down Any Pakistani Aircraft in the Battle of Haq: ISPR

Rawalpindi: Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) **Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry** has stated that **India failed to shoot down any Pakistani aircraft during the Battle of Haq**, rejecting claims made by Indian media regarding aerial losses.
In an interview with **Bloomberg**, Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif said Pakistan’s **military development strategy** has always focused on acquiring **effective, efficient, and indigenously integrated technologies**, combining both Eastern and Western platforms as needed. He emphasized that **Pakistan is not part of an arms race with India**, but remains fully prepared to defend its sovereignty.
The DG ISPR clarified that Pakistan has **never manipulated or concealed facts and figures**, and reaffirmed that **no Pakistani aircraft was lost** during the recent conflict.
During the discussion, he also highlighted the **strong performance of Chinese-origin platforms** used by the Pakistan Armed Forces in the Battle of Haq.
Bloomberg reported that a week earlier, **U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the downing of seven Indian aircraft** during the conflict, attributing the victories largely to Pakistan’s **Chinese-made J-10C fighter jets**, which successfully targeted several Indian Air Force aircraft, including Rafale jets.
The report further noted that Pakistan recently announced the **induction of Z-10ME attack helicopters** into its arsenal in August, and continues to operate a **mix of Chinese and U.S.-made aircraft**, including **F-16s**, reflecting the country’s balanced and diversified defense strategy.
