New Law in Naran: Entry Banned for Couples Without Marriage Certificate

Naran: Authorities in the tourist hotspot of Naran, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have introduced a new regulation prohibiting the entry of couples who cannot produce a valid marriage certificate (Nikahnama).
Police have set up checkpoints on routes leading to Naran, where tourists are being strictly screened. Couples will only be allowed to stay in hotels or visit tourist attractions if they provide proof of marriage.
According to police officials, couples without a Nikahnama will not only be denied entry but could also face legal action.
The local administration stated that the decision was taken to preserve cultural values, protect local traditions, and curb unethical activities. Police teams are also conducting inspections at hotels and guesthouses to ensure that only married couples are permitted accommodation.
