Sahibzada Farhan Explains ‘Gunshot’ Celebration After Fifty Against India

Dubai – Pakistan opener **Sahibzada Farhan** has revealed the reason behind his unique **‘gunshot’ celebration** after scoring a half-century against India in the Asia Cup Super Four clash on Sunday.
Farhan played a fighting knock of **58 runs**, and upon reaching his fifty, celebrated in a gunshot style, which sparked reactions from Indian fans.
Speaking in a post-match press conference, Farhan said:
“I usually don’t celebrate fifties, but it came to mind, so I tried something new. People can interpret it however they want; I don’t care. I always try to play aggressive cricket, even if the opposition is India.”
The opener added that while he was happy with his performance, he would have been much happier if it had led Pakistan to victory. “The innings against India gave me confidence. I am hopeful Pakistan can win the Asia Cup final. We are fully prepared for the match against Sri Lanka, and I would love to face India again in the final,” he said.
Farhan also credited changes in the batting order for boosting players’ morale. “It has given confidence to batters like **Saim Ayub** as well,” he added.
Pakistan lost the Super Four encounter against India by **six wickets**. The team will now face **Sri Lanka tomorrow** in their next fixture.
