Illegal Afghan Nationals and Indian Officers Involved in Terrorism, Says DG ISPR

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Army spokesperson, DG ISPR Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has revealed that credible evidence exists linking illegal Afghan nationals and Indian Army officers to terrorist activities inside Pakistan.
Speaking to a German publication, he said Afghan refugees were initially given shelter due to foreign interventions and civil war, conditions which no longer exist. “Pakistan hosted millions of Afghan refugees for 40 years and has now initiated organized measures for their dignified return,” he stated. Despite multiple deadline extensions on humanitarian grounds, evidence shows illegal Afghan nationals’ involvement in terrorism and serious crimes, he added.
On India’s role, the DG ISPR said:
* Pakistan has repeatedly presented evidence of Indian-sponsored terrorism at international forums.
* Indian Army officers are directly involved in orchestrating terrorist incidents in Pakistan.
* State institutions in India, including the military, are heavily influenced by extremist political ideologies.
He emphasized that unlike India, Pakistan rejects all non-state militant groups without exception. “No group or individual has the authority to declare jihad – that right rests solely with the state,” he said.
Gen Chaudhry noted that many slain terrorists of the group *Fitna-e-Hindustan* were falsely listed among so-called “missing persons.” He highlighted Pakistan’s sacrifices as a frontline state in the global war on terror, stressing that U.S. weapons left behind in Afghanistan are now being used in terrorist attacks – a matter of concern even for Washington.
He also pointed out:
* Former U.S. President Donald Trump played a notable leadership role during the *Battle of Haq*.
* The U.S. has designated the banned Majeed Brigade as a global terrorist organization.
* Pakistan maintains constructive, strategic relations with China, describing it as a “brotherly nation.”
