Rameez Raja Could Face Serious Trouble, Warns Senator Afnanullah

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Senator Afnanullah Khan has strongly criticized former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman and renowned commentator Rameez Raja, warning that he could face serious legal and political difficulties over his alleged activities.

Speaking in various interviews, Senator Afnanullah alleged that an organized international campaign had been launched in support of former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan. He claimed that a “Zionist lobby” was behind the campaign and alleged that Rameez Raja had also become involved in it.

The PML-N senator accused the former cricketer of participating in efforts aimed at providing political and international support to Imran Khan.

Issuing a warning to Rameez Raja, Afnanullah said his situation had become “very serious” and that he could face major legal and political consequences at any time because of his activities.

He further claimed that the PML-N and the government would no longer tolerate such activities.

The senator also criticized Rameez Raja’s abilities as a former cricketer and commentator, saying he had not proven himself to be a good player or commentator. He also questioned his conduct as a public figure.

Afnanullah alleged that Rameez Raja had made comments during cricket commentary that caused embarrassment to Pakistan at the international level.

He said individuals appointed to important positions in sports and cricket administration should prioritize the interests of the country and nation rather than personal or political interests.

The allegations and claims made by Senator Afnanullah have not been independently verified.
