Quetta: National Party Slams ‘Mindset’ Targeting Genuine Political Leadership

Quetta:The National Party’s provincial spokesperson has strongly condemned what they termed a “specific mindset” that, according to them, cannot tolerate genuine political leadership and democracy in Balochistan.

The spokesperson said this mindset treats assemblies, the judiciary, and parliament as its subordinates and, after creating “fake assemblies,” is now unable to tolerate even a handful of real political workers within them.

Referring to propaganda campaigns on social media against party MPA Rahmat Saleh Baloch, the spokesperson described it as a “malicious act” aimed at discrediting pro-people political activists, undermining genuine politics, and paving the way for the induction of “fake representatives.”

The statement further noted that Rahmat Saleh Baloch has faced fabricated cases since 2018 for standing firmly with party policy during the no-confidence move against former CM Nawab Sanaullah Zehri. Similar cases, they added, were previously made against party chief Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and late Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo, which eventually collapsed.

The National Party warned anti-democratic elements that the campaign against Rahmat Saleh Baloch would soon meet its logical end. The party emphasized that the supremacy of parliament and true democracy could only be ensured if the **Election Commission and judiciary act independently** and all institutions work within their constitutional limits.

The spokesperson concluded that character assassination of political workers and leaders is intolerable and will be answered strongly.
