National Party Condemns Alleged Kidnapping of Yasmeen Lehri’s Father, Demands Immediate Recovery

QUETTA: The National Party has strongly condemned the alleged kidnapping of Mir Noor Ahmed Lehri, father of the party’s Central Women’s Secretary Yasmeen Lehri, describing the incident as a deeply alarming reflection of the deteriorating law and order situation in Kachhi district, Balochistan.

In a statement, the National Party’s district spokesperson said that the reported abduction, following a rise in highway robberies and other criminal incidents, highlights the worsening security conditions in the district.

The spokesperson said the situation raises serious questions about the performance of law enforcement agencies, the district administration, traffic police, the Special Road Force, and other relevant authorities, calling for urgent action to restore public confidence.

The National Party demanded that the Government of Balochistan, law enforcement agencies, and the district administration ensure the safe and immediate recovery of Mir Noor Ahmed Lehri, bring those responsible to justice, and take effective measures to restore peace and security in Kachhi.

The statement further emphasized that ending the prevailing atmosphere of fear is an urgent necessity and urged tribal elders, community leaders, political and religious representatives, and civil society to work collectively for the restoration of peace and the protection of citizens’ lives and property.
