Consultative Meeting on NFC Award Preparation Held Under Chairmanship of Balochistan CM Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta: A key consultative meeting regarding the preparation of the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

During the meeting, Provincial Finance Minister Mir Shoaib Nosherwani gave a detailed briefing. Chief Minister Bugti emphasized that all political parties and experts would be consulted on the NFC Award to present a unified and strong stance for the province.

He also stated that even political parties without parliamentary representation would be included in the consultation process to ensure inclusivity.

The CM highlighted the importance of reflecting Balochistan’s needs and priorities in the award and stressed the need for transparency and participation in the distribution of national resources.

“The NFC Award is an opportunity for strengthening the federation and promoting inter-provincial harmony,” Bugti said, adding that the expectations and hopes of the people of Balochistan must be incorporated into the award.

He further emphasized that balance and coordination between provinces are crucial, and economic experts and intellectuals will also be part of the consultation process to enrich the policy-making.

“A fair distribution of resources will put the province on the path to development and prosperity,” said the CM. “Our collective success lies in a strong and stable federation,” he added.

Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti concluded by saying that the NFC Award will be used as a tool for promoting national unity and mutual trust.
