35 Indian-Sponsored Terrorists Killed, 12 Soldiers Martyred in Intelligence-Based Operations in KP

BAJAUR: At least 35 terrorists linked to India-sponsored militant network “Fitnat-ul-Khawarij” were killed while 12 soldiers embraced martyrdom during intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the military’s media wing, ISPR, said on Friday.
According to ISPR, between September 10 and 13, security forces conducted two major operations based on intelligence reports. In the Bajaur district, 22 terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire. In another operation in South Waziristan, 13 more terrorists were neutralized.
However, during the fierce gun battles, 12 valiant soldiers of Pakistan laid down their lives in defense of the motherland.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the slain terrorists, who were involved in multiple subversive activities in the region. Intelligence reports confirmed the direct involvement of Afghan nationals in these terror activities, raising concerns over the continued use of Afghan soil against Pakistan.
Pakistan expects the interim Afghan government to fulfill its responsibilities and ensure its territory is not used for cross-border terrorism, ISPR said.
Security forces have launched sanitization operations to clear the area of any remaining threats. The military reiterated its resolve to eradicate the menace of terrorism, particularly Indian-sponsored proxies, once and for all.
“The sacrifices of our brave soldiers only strengthen our determination,” ISPR emphasized.
