US Imposes Tariffs on Pakistani and Indian Exports

Washington:** The United States has imposed a 19% tariff on Pakistani exports and a 25% tariff on Indian exports.
President Donald Trump signed an executive order imposing tariffs on various countries. The new tariffs include an increase from 25% to 35% on Canada, 25% on India, 20% on Bangladesh, and 15% on Turkey and Israel.
According to a White House spokesperson, South Africa will face a 30% tariff, Vietnam 20%, and Venezuela 15%. Other countries facing tariffs include Switzerland (39%), Iraq (35%), Japan (15%), Libya (30%), and Myanmar (40%). The new tariffs will take effect immediately.
President Trump stated that the tariffs were imposed based on trade negotiations, consultations, recommendations, and intelligence.
Senior US officials mentioned that no final decision has been made regarding tariffs on China. They also noted that disagreements with India cannot be resolved overnight and include geopolitical issues related to BRICS and Russia.
It is worth noting that just yesterday, Pakistan and the United States successfully reached a trade agreement. President Trump announced the agreement via a post on Truth Social. The deal aims to promote bilateral trade, increase market access, attract investment, and enhance cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
