Field Marshal Asim Munir Rejects India’s Proxy War, Vows to Combat Terrorism Until its Complete Eradication

Islamabad: Chief of Army Staff, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, has strongly rejected India’s open support for terrorist groups and asserted that India, after suffering defeat in the battle of truth, is now resorting to hybrid warfare using proxies like “Fitna al-Khawarij” and “Fitna al-Hind.”
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Asim Munir made these remarks during his address to the participants of the 16th National Workshop in Balochistan. The workshop, which focused on key issues affecting the province, was attended by parliamentarians, civil society representatives, government officials, intellectuals, journalists, and youth from various sectors.
Field Marshal Munir emphasized that the development of Balochistan is crucial for ensuring national unity and stability. He further stated that the elements causing disturbance in the region will meet the same fate as they did during the battle of truth.
Highlighting the importance of Balochistan’s socio-economic development, the Army Chief stressed that this is essential for Pakistan’s national cohesion and prosperity. He reiterated that the Pakistan Army will continue its fight against terrorism until its complete eradication.
Rejecting India’s sponsorship of terrorist organizations, Field Marshal Munir described it as a failed attempt to weaken the patriotism of the Pakistani people, especially the Baloch community. He emphasized that terrorism has no religion, sect, or ethnicity, and that the entire nation must unite to combat it. Without collective national resolve, tackling the threat of terrorism would be impossible, he added.
Field Marshal Munir also highlighted the importance of ongoing developmental projects in Balochistan and urged for greater cooperation with international institutions to improve the province’s development. He called for a unified national strategy to further bolster the province’s growth.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace, Field Marshal Munir made it clear that any internal or external threat to the motherland would be met with a forceful response. Ensuring national dignity and the protection of the people would be prioritized at all costs.
The session concluded with a vibrant and free-wheeling Q&A session between the Army Chief and workshop participants.
