Trump Offered Mediation on Kashmir, Scheduled to Meet Pakistani Leader on Friday: US State Department

Washington: U.S. State Department spokesperson Tami Bruce has confirmed that former President Donald Trump had previously offered to mediate on the Kashmir issue and is scheduled to meet a prominent Pakistani leader on Friday.
Bruce stated that discussions during the meeting will include the Kashmir dispute and other significant matters. “The United States understands how to move forward with India-Pakistan relations,” she said.
Addressing the situation in Gaza, Bruce claimed that Hamas’s influence has been largely diminished, accusing the group of looting humanitarian aid. “Witkoff is heading to Gaza as part of the ongoing ceasefire efforts,” she added. “The day will come when we begin the reconstruction of Gaza, devastated by war.”
On the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Bruce said that President Trump supports direct dialogue between Moscow and Kyiv to resolve the ongoing war.
The State Department spokesperson also clarified the U.S. position on global health governance, stating, “We have made it clear to the World Health Organization that the United States will not be part of the global health treaty.”
