Iranian President’s Car Breaks Down, Forced to Travel in Taxi

Tehran: In an unexpected turn of events, Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian was forced to take a taxi after his official vehicle broke down due to poor-quality fuel. The incident occurred during his visit to Tabriz, where a convoy of three vehicles had refueled at a petrol station in Qazvin. Shortly after departure, the vehicles broke down due to contaminated fuel containing water, causing the convoy to come to a halt.
Without informing local officials, the President took matters into his own hands and arranged for a private taxi to continue his journey to Tabriz.
According to high-ranking officials, the petrol station where the fuel was sourced had previously faced complaints about water contamination in its fuel, a claim that was later confirmed by the Iranian National Oil Products Distribution Company.
This unusual situation has raised questions about the quality control measures in place for fuel distribution in the country.
