Saudi Arabia, US and China Express Condolences Over Gul Plaza Tragedy

Karachi: Saudi Arabia, the United States and China have expressed deep sorrow over the tragic fire incident at Gul Plaza, which claimed dozens of lives.
Saudi Arabia conveyed its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the **affected families, the Government of Pakistan and the Pakistani people**, expressing solidarity in this time of grief.
In a statement, the **US Consulate** said that the United States stands in full sympathy with the families of those who lost their lives. The statement also paid tribute to the **bravery and dedication of rescue workers and firefighters** involved in the operation.
Similarly, the **Chinese Consulate General** expressed condolences to the families of the deceased in the Gul Plaza incident and extended sympathy and best wishes to the injured.
According to officials, **28 people have so far been confirmed dead**, while **17 bodies remain unidentifiable**. DNA samples from **50 families** have been collected to assist in the identification process.
Fire officials stated that the **open area of the basement has been searched and no bodies were found**, while the compressed portion of the basement is yet to be cleared. The **second and third floors of the building have been fully cleared**.
Meanwhile, an **investigation committee has begun its work** to determine the causes of the tragic incident.
