British Woman Quits Cooking for 10 Years, Spends £500 a Week on Takeout — Says It’s “Cheaper and Stress-Free

London: Saffron Boswell, a 26-year-old full-time content creator from England, hasn’t cooked a single meal in the last 10 years — and she has no plans to start anytime soon.**

With over 110,000 followers on TikTok, Boswell shares glimpses of her daily life, which consistently includes one thing: takeout. From breakfast to dinner, every meal she consumes comes from a restaurant or café.

Her typical day begins with an English breakfast from a local café or a sandwich from Subway. Lunch might be a salad or burger combo from Pizza Express or KFC, while dinner often includes Nando’s chicken or a Domino’s pizza.

“Cooking is just a waste of time and money,” says Boswell, who estimates she spends around £60 (roughly PKR 6,800) daily on food, totaling £500 (around PKR 56,700) a week. In addition, she spends another £200 a month to keep snacks and drinks stocked for guests at her home.

Despite her unconventional routine, Boswell insists that this lifestyle is affordable and low-stress. “I’m not going to waste £50 on groceries and hours of my time cooking,” she explained, adding that those who claim cooking is cheaper probably only toss frozen chicken nuggets in the oven.

Boswell says her friends follow a similar lifestyle, allowing her to maintain a vibrant social life where dining out plays a central role.

Concerns about her health? According to her, there are none. “I feel perfectly healthy, and I’m happy,” she said. “I don’t feel like this lifestyle is wrong. As long as I can afford it, I don’t see any reason to change.”

She believes that sharing her life on social media has helped normalize her choices and inspired others to embrace a lifestyle that prioritizes convenience and enjoyment over tradition.

**“This is just my version of a successful, happy life,”** Boswell concludes.
