Kohistan Corruption Scandal: Deals with Key Personalities Exposed

Peshawar: Shocking new revelations have emerged in the mega Kohistan corruption scandal in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, with details of luxury vehicles, properties, pictures, and videos now in the public domain.
The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has officially upgraded the investigation into what is being referred to as Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s largest corruption scandal from an inquiry to a full-fledged investigation. In the latest operation, NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has uncovered further startling details, unearthing new secrets.
According to official records, assets worth a total of 25 billion Pakistani rupees have been recovered and seized in the case so far. NAB has also seized over one billion rupees in cash, foreign currency, and more than three kilograms of gold. Furthermore, 73 bank accounts holding more than 5 billion rupees have been frozen in various commercial banks.
In a major breakthrough, NAB has confiscated 77 luxury vehicles. Additionally, 109 properties across various cities, including Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Abbottabad, and Mansehra, have been seized. These properties include four farmhouses, twelve commercial plazas, two commercial plots, 30 houses, twelve shops and food courts, 25 flats and penthouses, and 175 kanals of agricultural land. The total estimated value of these assets is approximately 17 billion rupees.
Government sources have indicated that arrests of key figures involved in the scandal are expected within the next 24 to 48 hours, with preparations already underway. The fraud, orchestrated with immense cunning and clear collusion, involved government officials, greedy contractors, complicit bank officials, and others.
The culprits, acting with brazen confidence, managed to siphon billions from the national treasury without triggering any financial monitoring systems. One of the arrested suspects, contractor Muhammad Ayub, had transferred three billion rupees into his account. The same amount was reportedly used to purchase a house for former senator Azam Swati.
This scandal has taken the nation by storm, shedding light on the deep-rooted corruption and the high-profile individuals involved in this massive financial crime.
