Pollen Baloch: No Baloch MNA Can Visit Their Constituency, Real Elections Needed for Solutions

IslamabadضNational Party MNA Pollen Baloch expressed grave concerns regarding the worsening situation in Balochistan, stating that no member of the National Assembly from Balochistan can visit their constituency today. Addressing the National Assembly, he emphasized that the real solutions to Balochistan’s issues can only be found when genuine elections are held, allowing the people’s true representatives to take charge.

Baloch remarked that despite being opposed to Balochistan’s Chief Minister, Sardar Sarfraz Bugti, the question of peace and security cannot fall solely on one person’s shoulders. “Today, let’s admit that the war in Balochistan has shifted from the hands of the Sardars to the hands of the Baloch youth, and the Baloch Sardars are now powerless,” he stated.

He highlighted that those resisting today include educated Baloch professionals such as doctors, professors, and young men and women who are now part of the movement. He also pointed out that Prime Minister Imran Khan has not sought input from Balochistan’s elected representatives in over a year to discuss solutions to the province’s issues. “Sardar Akhtar Mengal has already resigned, and if my party permits, I too will no longer sit in this house after today,” he declared.

The MNA further spoke about the widespread corruption in the region, claiming that police stations and government jobs are being sold. He stressed that the number one issue in Balochistan is the enforced disappearances, saying, “There is no neighborhood without missing persons. I know a family whose young son went missing for 11 years, and three suicide bombers emerged from their home.”

Pollen Baloch’s comments shed light on the growing dissatisfaction in Balochistan, highlighting the region’s political instability and the increasing involvement of educated youth in the resistance.
