Political Leaders Express Concerns Over Pakistan’s Deteriorating Conditions; Launch Movement for Constitutional Protection

ISLAMABAD – Prominent political figures have voiced deep concerns over Pakistan’s worsening socio-political and economic conditions, with calls for urgent reforms and action to protect the country’s constitution and democracy.

In a press conference, **Mahmood Khan Achakzai**, Chairman of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, expressed his grave concerns over the dire situation in Pakistan. He said, “Today, the common man is struggling to get one meal a day, 47% of the population has fallen below the poverty line, traders and farmers are in distress, and the judiciary has been paralyzed. The silence of political parties in these critical times is alarming.” He further highlighted that the country’s present government was formed through “intimidation and mandate theft,” and that political movements like the **Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan** (Movement for Constitutional Protection) would no longer remain silent.

Achakzai also criticized the government’s silence on international issues, specifically calling for Pakistan’s parliament to pass a resolution condemning Israeli Prime Minister **Benjamin Netanyahu** as a war criminal and exposing him in an international court. He condemned the support of **Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif** and his allies for Netanyahu, and accused them of supporting a Nobel Peace Prize nomination for the U.S. President who had endorsed the Israeli leader.

**Suleman Akram Raja**, Secretary-General of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), also addressed the press conference, stating, “Pakistan has been trapped in a vicious cycle for 77 years. Elections are always rigged, and we are expected to accept this reality and move on. We, however, do not accept Pakistan’s dark history, and we will no longer remain silent about stolen mandates. The youth of Pakistan are waking up and their awareness is rising.”

Raja emphasized that the PTI would no longer stay quiet about electoral fraud, declaring their intent to change Pakistan’s history. He also announced the leadership of the **Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan**, with **Mahmood Khan Achakzai** as Chairman, **Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari** as Vice-Chairman, **Asad Qaiser** as Secretary-General, and **Sahibzada Hamid Raza** as the Information Secretary. **Mustafa Nawaz Khohkar** and **Akhtar Mengal** will also play key roles in the movement.

**Mahmood Khan Achakzai** further accused the opposition parties, including **PML-N** and **PPP**, of supporting the current regime’s illegitimate actions, stating, “Seats stolen from one party are being distributed among others, and no party has the courage to refuse them. This injustice is being supported by the major opposition parties.”

The **Tehreek-e-Tahafuz-e-Ain Pakistan** movement aims to prioritize the supremacy of the constitution, the protection of judicial independence, and the defense of democracy. This alliance includes influential figures from multiple political parties and is set to challenge what they deem as unconstitutional actions by the government.

These leaders have vowed to fight for justice and reform, and to demand accountability from the government while ensuring that the rule of law prevails in the country. The political landscape in Pakistan continues to remain turbulent, with multiple movements pushing for change, while the common man bears the brunt of economic hardships.
