Field Marshal Reaffirms Pakistan’s Commitment to Mediation for Lasting Regional Peace in Meeting with Prime Minister

Islamabad: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to reaffirm Pakistan’s commitment to continue its mediation role for lasting peace in the region.

According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the meeting reviewed Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts and progress in reducing tensions between conflicting parties in the region. Both leaders expressed satisfaction over the recent reduction in hostilities and emphasized the importance of maintaining the ceasefire and continued restraint by all parties.

During the meeting, Field Marshal Munir reiterated Pakistan’s resolve to sustain its mediation role, while the Prime Minister praised the patience and commitment demonstrated by all parties involved.

The statement added that both leaders exchanged best wishes for the success of ongoing peace efforts, and Prime Minister Sharif extended a formal invitation to visiting delegations to visit Pakistan.
