White House Reacts to Pakistan’s Nomination of Donald Trump for Nobel Peace Prize

Washington, D.C. – The White House has responded to Pakistan’s recent move to nominate President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in de-escalating tensions between Pakistan and India.
During a briefing, White House spokesperson Caroline Levitt confirmed that Pakistan had nominated President Trump for the prestigious award. Levitt stated that the nomination recognizes Trump’s decisive diplomatic efforts to prevent a potential nuclear conflict between the two nuclear-armed neighbors, Pakistan and India.
This decision follows a recent crisis between Pakistan and India, where President Trump played a pivotal role in mediating peace and averting a larger conflict. The Pakistani government officially recommended the Nobel Peace Prize nomination for President Trump in recognition of his crucial diplomatic intervention. Pakistan also sent a formal letter to the Nobel Committee in Norway, urging them to consider President Trump for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
Moreover, a Republican Congressman in the U.S. also nominated President Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his efforts to broker peace in the Israel-Iran conflict, further bolstering the case for his nomination.
This comes after Trump himself commented on the matter, saying that while he believed he deserved the Nobel Peace Prize for his role in averting war between Pakistan and India, he humorously remarked that “Nobel Prizes are only given to liberals” and added, “they will never give it to me.”
The Nobel Peace Prize nomination has sparked a mix of reactions worldwide, with some praising Trump’s diplomatic efforts, while others question his overall approach to international peace.
