Sudden Rise in Water Flow in River Indus Strands 25 People and Livestock in Attock
Rescue operation successfully saves 25 individuals and livestock after the release of water from Tarbela Dam.

In a sudden turn of events, 25 people and livestock became stranded in the River Indus near Attock due to a sudden increase in water flow. The rising water levels were caused by the opening of the spillways at Tarbela Dam following monsoon rains.
Rescue teams quickly mobilized and managed to save the individuals, transferring them to a safe location. According to rescue sources, the stranded group included women and children.
The affected individuals were caught at a location known as Shadi Khan when the water flow in the river rapidly increased. Authorities reported that the rise in water levels was due to the release of excess water from Tarbela Dam’s spillways.
After five continuous hours of rescue efforts, all 25 people, along with their livestock, were successfully evacuated and transferred to safety. Rescue teams were able to prevent any casualties despite the sudden rise in water.
