Pakistani Actress Mehwish Hayat Denies Claims of UK Ban Over Controversial Music Video

Pakistani actress and model Mehwish Hayat has dismissed recent reports suggesting that she and Indian rapper Yo Yo Honey Singh are facing a potential ban from the UK due to a controversial music video. The video in question, titled *”Jatt Mahkma”*, has been making waves since its release on YouTube in November, amassing over 400 million views.
Reports began circulating on social media alleging that the UK Home Office was considering banning the two celebrities from entering the country due to the music video, which features scenes of young children holding automatic weapons and shotguns. These images have reportedly drawn criticism from British politicians and social circles, who have expressed concern over the video’s portrayal of violence.
The controversy intensified when British MP Manvila Patigella formally lodged a complaint with the UK Home Office regarding the video. Some reports even claimed that the Home Office was deliberating whether to take legal action against Mehwish Hayat and Honey Singh, although no official statement has been issued as of yet.
In response to these reports, Mehwish Hayat took to social media to refute the claims, calling them “baseless” and urging the media to verify facts before spreading such rumors.
Despite the ongoing buzz, no legal or public decision has been made regarding the video or its alleged implications on the celebrities’ entry into the UK.
This incident highlights the ongoing debate around the responsibility of media and artists in depicting violence, especially when it involves young audiences.
