Tensions Rise Between PTI and Establishment, Talks Delayed Due to Recent Developments

Islamabad:Tensions between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and the establishment have escalated, halting potential progress in their ongoing negotiations. Sources suggest that developments, including controversial statements from PTI leaders and party members, have caused delays in any meaningful dialogue, which was initially expected after Eid.
Further complicating the situation, protests by PTI supporters in the United States have fueled anger among key stakeholders within the government, the establishment, and serious circles within PTI. The protests have reportedly deepened divisions, making it harder for both sides to find common ground.
PTI leaders claim that the lack of a unified strategy is hindering progress in resolving the political standoff. Sources indicate that before Eid, an important government figure had made contact with Barrister Gohar, PTI’s representative, and there had been brief talks with key individuals following the events of November 26. However, any substantial discussions were expected to resume after Eid, but the situation has since become more complicated.
In response to the growing tension, Barrister Gohar Khan, PTI’s Chairman, emphasized that the party remains open to talks for the sake of the country’s welfare. He stated that despite some individuals’ statements and actions creating obstacles, PTI is still willing to engage in serious and result-oriented dialogue to resolve the issues at hand.
