PTI Leader Asad Qaiser Criticizes Israeli Weapons in Indian Attack, Calls for Serious Strategy from Pakistan

Islamabad: PTI leader Asad Qaiser has raised concerns over the use of Israeli-made weapons in India’s recent attacks, stressing that Pakistan must adopt a serious strategy in response. Speaking in the National Assembly, Qaiser condemned the Israeli attack on Iran, expressing solidarity with the Iranian people. He also pointed out that when India attacked Pakistan, the weapons used were of Israeli origin, urging Pakistan to take more decisive actions.
He called on Pakistan to play a more active role in convening an OIC (Organization of Islamic Cooperation) meeting. Qaiser criticized Minister Khawaja Asif for making indirect criticisms of PTI while leaving the session. He reminded the House that when the Pulwama attack occurred, the then-Prime Minister gave a firm response to India in Parliament.
Qaiser also addressed the agricultural crisis, criticizing the current government for neglecting farmers. He declared that in the upcoming elections, the farmers would show their discontent with the government. He lamented that the current government had ignored the issues of farmers, and even Marium Nawaz had distanced herself from addressing their concerns.
Further, Qaiser raised concerns about the distribution of funds under the NFC (National Finance Commission) Award, saying the government had failed to provide the due share to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, particularly withholding net hydel profit. He highlighted the poor state of electricity supply, especially during Eid, with voltage issues and only 2 hours of power available in 24 hours. Despite this, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had achieved a remarkable 91% recovery rate in electricity.
On the tobacco issue, Qaiser emphasized the importance of supporting tobacco farmers rather than industries. He criticized the federal government for deactivating the Tobacco Board and failing to set a price for tobacco. He urged the government to quickly announce a minimum price for tobacco.
Concluding his speech, Qaiser warned the government that if power shortages were not resolved, PTI would take to the motorway. He reiterated PTI’s demand for the release and justice for its founding leader, Imran Khan.
