London – Pakistan has categorically rejected baseless allegations made by India without credible investigation or verifiable evidence. In a high-level diplomatic outreach to the British Parliament, a Pakistani parliamentary delegation led by Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and former Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari briefed the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Pakistan at the Westminster Palace.
During the briefing, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari highlighted India’s unfounded accusations against Pakistan following the Pahalgam incident and emphasized that such claims lacked proper inquiry or justification. He condemned India’s unilateral violations of the Indus Waters Treaty and attacks on civilian populations, calling them clear breaches of international laws and the principles underpinning the modern global order.
“These aggressive actions by India pose serious risks to regional and international peace and security,” Bhutto Zardari warned.
Hosted by APPG Chair Yasmin Qureshi MP, the Pakistani delegation’s visit was part of Islamabad’s ongoing diplomatic efforts to raise global awareness about the deteriorating security situation in South Asia due to India’s hostile posture.
The delegation also included Minister for Climate Change and Environmental Coordination, Musadik Malik, who briefed UK parliamentarians on the environmental and food security threats posed by India’s suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty. He emphasized the dire implications for Pakistan’s 240 million people.
The delegation stressed that Pakistan’s response to Indian aggression has been measured, responsible, and fully aligned with international law, including the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the UN Charter.
Reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to peace, the delegation called for restraint, the restoration of the Indus Waters Treaty, and the resumption of comprehensive dialogue between the two nations to resolve all outstanding issues, particularly the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
